So after my repair, I think it's time to replace my 30k 6 year old Michelin Pilot Sports on front. The modern equivalent seems to be 225/40 ZR18 92Y Michelin Pilot Sport 4 but presumably run flats? I've been struggling to find this tyre online just to get an idea of prices, anyone recommend a supplier or an equivalent make perhaps? Thanks Dave

I'm currently in the market for a new car but I'm so undecided as to what i want , I'm currently in a 2018 bclass amg line that's fine but I've go that itch that won't go away, I've looked at a 520d sport 2018 but it's got 94k miles on it which doesn't really scare me but just wanting real world advice from anyone that's got one, all it's services are there last one done at 88k , my merc has 100k on now and still goes like a dream I've had a 1 series before so not my fist bmw , anyhow thanks in advance

Hi Dave, It appears that my Ista+ was out of date and the idrive(ecu) software in the vehicle is running the 2018 version, therefore, reading the vehicle with the up to date remote ista from the dealership shows there is nothing wrong with the car. It's already booked for a software update with the 2025 version Thanks!

Morning Annamaria Welcome to the Forum As with any purchase of a Second hand car it falls on you to make all the checks you can if your not able/capable then ask someone who is to check for you. There may be a charge from people like the AA/RAC or similar but at least you will feel confident in your decision. Nice looking motor, don't forget, when driving in sport mode on auto you lose all engine breaking and can get out of shape very easily.

Morning Trevor Welcome to the Forum I have only ever heard of this once before and not with BMW but with a Mercedes S class the owner was on the M6 3rd lane morning traffic and the car just braked to a stand still (Brown Trouser Moment). He turned off restarted and all seemed normal continued his trip to work. He reported it to Mercedes who said bring it in checked it over and found no fault? A month later he had a reoccurrance the only common denominator was Active Cruise Control which he was using on both occasions Ask your Dealer to check the Active Cruise Control sensors as you should still be covered by Warranty Good Luck Dave

Hi, I am writing to provide you with an update regarding my recent experience in sourcing a flywheel for my 2017 330e, which may be of assistance to people encountering a similar issue. After extensive searching, I successfully purchased part number 3 on my list, as I was unable to find the initial part number 1 at a reasonable price. The part I acquired, designated #9454556, is a flywheel with 122 teeth and has only 17,000 miles of use, sourced from eBay. Recently, my mechanic attempted to replace the old flywheel, but we discovered a critical discrepancy—while the parts appeared identical visually, the number of teeth differed significantly. My old flywheel (part #1) has 145 teeth, whereas the new one (part #3) only has 122 teeth. This incompatibility prohibits correct functionality with the starter motor. Also, I'm not sure about part #2 but I have a feeling that it would be same as #3. Thus, I would recommend adhering to the specifications provided by realoem.com for optimal results. I have a 73 plate 1 series reg in Jan 24' lower engine mount needs replacing 15000m ..not under warranty? This is not a good look for bmw I think. Anyone else have mount issues so early.?

Well got the 240 back yesterday, have to say excellent service from the main dealer repair centre. New wheel looks great, top pic. Wish I could afford the other 3! Going to see who can match the other ones properly. A front one pictured, not that bad I suppose. Alignment all checked etc. Glad it's back
