  7. Morning Glyn Welcome to the Forum What kind of Buzz ? Vibration ? or Electrical ? The overhead console contains the Microphone for your Bluetooth connection feedback on the microphone could give a buzz or just loose wiring or clips behind the console could allow vibration Good Luck with the hunt Dave
  8. Morning Trevor Welcome to the Forum I have only ever heard of this once before and not with BMW but with a Mercedes S class the owner was on the M6 3rd lane morning traffic and the car just braked to a stand still (Brown Trouser Moment). He turned off restarted and all seemed normal continued his trip to work. He reported it to Mercedes who said bring it in checked it over and found no fault? A month later he had a reoccurrance the only common denominator was Active Cruise Control which he was using on both occasions Ask your Dealer to check the Active Cruise Control sensors as you should still be covered by Warranty Good Luck Dave

  12. Morning Kieran Welcome to the Forum Try www.realoem.com it is a BMW online parts list good up to 2019 when BMW decided to make it subscription Put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box it will bring up your model, then search the Front Axel section when you have the part numbers double click them and you will get a list of alternates the just Google and look for what you need Good Luck Dave
  13. Morning Billy Welcome to the Forum When upgrading performance I have always increased the frequency of Oil Filter changes just to make sure everything stays in tip top condition As long as your not driving it at the max every second then I think you should enjoy your Beemer Dave
  14. Morning Jim Welcome to the Forum Try Disconecting the Battery for 20/30mins (Dealer Trick) to see if it resets then. If not you could have a faulty wheel sensor a Diagnostic check will tell you Dave

  17. I am wondering if it is worth it to get a stage 1 tune on a bmw 420 2019 f32 model, I have heard it makes them a lot more responsive and fun to drive but also that the 20i engines aren’t exactly built strong enough to be pushed that far as the stage 1 brings it to around 250bhp I believe. Do you think it’s worth it or is there any way you can strengthen the engine for the tune?
  18. Tyre pressure Warning but won’t Reset, tyres checked all fine just won’t listen to me. !!!!
  19. Hi, I am writing to provide you with an update regarding my recent experience in sourcing a flywheel for my 2017 330e, which may be of assistance to people encountering a similar issue. After extensive searching, I successfully purchased part number 3 on my list, as I was unable to find the initial part number 1 at a reasonable price. The part I acquired, designated #9454556, is a flywheel with 122 teeth and has only 17,000 miles of use, sourced from eBay. Recently, my mechanic attempted to replace the old flywheel, but we discovered a critical discrepancy—while the parts appeared identical visually, the number of teeth differed significantly. My old flywheel (part #1) has 145 teeth, whereas the new one (part #3) only has 122 teeth. This incompatibility prohibits correct functionality with the starter motor. Also, I'm not sure about part #2 but I have a feeling that it would be same as #3. Thus, I would recommend adhering to the specifications provided by realoem.com for optimal results. I have included some images for reference, which may provide clarity on the differences. Thanks,
  20. I have a 73 plate 1 series reg in Jan 24' lower engine mount needs replacing 15000m ..not under warranty? This is not a good look for bmw I think. Anyone else have mount issues so early.?
  21. Could anyone tell me the dimensions of a 2022 530e boot?
  22. You may have to do some overtime with the scratch to take care of and a fine to pay 🤣 Enjoy the peace
  23. The doors should polish out with a good t cut and paint pen…. The bonnet is deeply scratched… my wife got caught at 71 in a 60… going uphill in the diesel convertible… lord knows what it would have been in the X5. 😂 im now back at work, enjoying the silence!
  24. Worse it wasn't her fault 🤣 Fingers crossed most of it will cover up with a good polish 🤣 By comparison I have a smooth life 😅 Dave
  25. Thank you I will get him to look at that.
  26. Morning Benny Welcome to the Forum The post is 5 years old and the poster didn't update on whether it was resolved From Richards description it did allow him to get the top up and I assume down. Sorry I can't be much help Dave
  27. First thoughts were cam / crank sensors but unless the new ones are faulty then I would start looking at the fuel system. If the car has been stood for a while then I would firstly look at changing the fuel filter - rarely changed as its an expensive part and also tucked away under the sill. Also look at the battery connections and it may also have an SRS power cutout on the positive cable which may also be faulty but be careful testing this as it has an explosive charge
  28. Morning Gabriel Welcome to the Forum The smooth running test tells you more, if idle is smooth and raising revs and letting them fall back doesn't upset the smooth running test all should be OK. Injector values are easy to reset but to do it you need the numbers on the top of each injector and that will need access to the injectors. Personally if things are running well MPG and Performance where you would expect I would leave it and monitor it once a month or so Enjoy your Beemer Dave
  29. My friend has a 1997 Z3 which will run for a few miles then cuts out. Will start and run again then intermittently cuts out. He has had crank shaft cam shaft sensors changed. I know probably could be anything, but I thought that I would ask.
