Hi Everyone,

I love my Z3 but haven't had it long. It has a leak where the top joints at the front. I can't decide whether to get it fixed or sell it as I have no idea of how to fix it.

Any suggestions welcome

Thanks

More info matey... Do you mean the hood?

More info dude...roof or engine?

Hi Sorry,

Its the roof that's leaking. Its not good going to work with wet trousers

Can you see any visible damage to the seal? Upload a photo if so...

It is fixable, new seals usually

Hi Clare, had a similar issue on my last 3 series vert, in my case the seals were ok and it was the roof itself soaking up water, which run forwards on the side rails and then poured into the car in the corners where it joined the top of the windscreen. Also on the E36 there where drain holes either side at the top of the windscreen in the rubber seals that block up over time. I cured mine by cleaning the roof and drain holes and waterproofing the canvas with fabsil (tent waterproofer) from Halfords.

Hi had the same problem on my z3 roof the two hooks on the corners of the roof can be adjusted loosen with an alan key and turn back once . I also put some vaseline on the corners worked perfect on more leaks
