Hi all

Quick one for you! What does this badge mean on the back of my 2000 728i?

I think it's just something stuck on for the fun of it but people keep asking so thought I'd ask!

Cheers!

Do you wear a leather?

not so much. I don't avoid women when they come on to me (they avoid me), so perhaps I'm not.

So I should take it off, in other words. I think it looks cheap / unoriginal

hoping it won't take the paint off when I remove it.....

Use an old bank card to pry it off. I use "StickyStuffRemover" along-side the old bank card to dissolve the adhesive.

Hope this helps,

Ha! Aside from popular opinions, I have not had much problems with good ol' Halfords. They get you out of trouble on the quick and their "Advanced" tools are cheap and have a life-time receiptless warranty on them. Obviously there is some stuff you avoid buying from there like bulbs and wiperblades but.... you know, people "In the know" don't need to worry about things like that.

They're OK really I suppose. Sometimes they're very knowledgable actually.

I had a brake light bulb go. Theirs were very expensive but I found five on ebay for a quid. I should really put the 4 I now have lying about on there!

Au contrare! Halfords mechs are Mcdonalds rejects !!!

Ditch the Mickey-Mouse Ebay MPower shite bud ;) :P

yeah, I will do. Just so paranoid about leaving a mark! It looks quite old. Wonder why anyone would feel the need to stick this on such a great car that speaks for itself!

Don't worry about the mark fella.

Old debit card or tesco club card at hand. carefully run the card under the badge and push the adhesive out. If the adhesive is solid, use a solvent to soften it like StickyStuffRemover (Halfords, 5quid). When removed, if there is a colour difference, T-Cut will solve that.

This method DOES work as I removed the 520i badge from my 1987 5 series using this method. That shizzle was stuck on for 25 years
