Hi, this is my first time on the forum.

Ive had my 2006 X5 for a month now and i'm very pleased with it.

Two things i would like help with are:

I sometimes get a warning sound (3 bleeps) when driving out on the open road, but nothing shows up on the display, its not the speed warning sound because its set at 70 mph, this sounder appears at different speeds.

The on board computer shows around 41 mpg which i would think is too good to be true. Are they accurate? I will try and record the mileage the next time i fill up and calculate it manually.

Thanks,

Stevie.

The obc is usually a bit optomistic so with a full tank reset the trip computer and after lots of mixed driving take note of the milage and brim the tank and note how many litres it takes.

Only way to know for sure.

Stevie,

That's amazing MPG, the only way I would get that from my E70 is on the back of a recovery truck. I agree with Marvin 38 on a run is about where it should be, around town 30-33 ish if you take it easy.
