Hi All,

Firstly, i messed up my username - I meant to put in 'livpoksoc' but sausage fingers here hit the 'o' by accident. If that can be changed, I'd apppreciate it.

Secondly - I recently took delivery of a new 116i. I love it & is a vast improvement on the Vauxhall & Ford I've had before! Problem for me is setting it all up. I've got the profiles set up on the iDrive, but apart from naming them I'm not sure what else can be set with them. I assumed that it would store things like wing mirror positions, air con preferences maybe & radio settings but i'm a little confused about how to actually set it up.

If anyone has any tips or can help, I'd appreciate it.

      BMW G30 Parking Brake error

      Hi, my car suddenly gave an orange error parking brake. When i used the ISTA tool and diagnose it. It gives 2 errors about it. - D35CBA ( electrical parking brake switch fault , DSC-LIN 0x2B) missing - D35CCA (electrical parking brake switch fault , DSC-LIN 0x1) missing When i stop the car and open my door it automatically uses the handbrake and it works fine but other then that, i cant use it.. even the auto hold. If anyone can help me it will be perfect. Thank you

      Morning Steve I have never worked on a 2 series but would imagine like the X3 and X5 internal trims around the rear window have to come off for access or maybe like the X5 the spoiler top fixings can be accessed from outside I would check www.realoem.com to see how the trim parts are fitted

      Morning Paul You have one major answer, your Local Main Dealer is not a good one !! Have you talked to BMW UK Customer services ? Clearly either the Dealer doesn't have a clue or there is an issue they also don't understand ? Worse by telling you a road test would be dangerous are they saying the car is in a dangerous condition ? All questions I would put to BMW UK Good Luck Dave

      218d 2017 ACTIVE TOURER CENTRE REAR TAILGATE BRAKE LIGHT

      Hope you guys can help me with this troublesome query.. how the heck do you get direct access to this light, so you can remove it via it's 3 fixing screws? I've got the replacement light for the existing broken one, but I just don't know and can't find out what to remove to do this? Surely someone out there has done this? I live in hope.

      Thank you for your response Dave, I have been to BMW Dealer but all they say computer indicates 'no faults' although I had frequent warnings saying system was restricted. They refuse to road test it saying it is dangerous to road test which I dispute as the system should give a visual warning at 8 car lengths and low speeds. I suggested to test it against another BMW with the same system but again they will not. If I have it on the most sensitive setting and get no warnings what is the point of the less sensitive settings. Lots of unanswered questions with this system?
