Hi All,

Just a quick note, that I have seen in lots of occasions when a vehicle has had the rear windows tinted on a X5 E53 you will get audio/Tuner and Navi issues only when the 16.9 Navigation is fitted.

This is due to when the rear quarter glass is tinted the water will run straight down onto the electrics. Tuner module and Navi/CDC.

When buying or having issues, keep this in mind. It can get quite costly.

      X1 recall

      Our new X1 has been recalled for the pillar problem. The dealer had it back 3 weeks ago, it was only 2 months old, and despite calling BMW in London and our dealer none of them can tell us what is going to happen and if we will get it back or when! Anyone else have this problem?

      I’m guessing @Greydog ‘s x5 is working…. Mine just threw an engine management light on ! 😂😂 I’ll deal with it soon.

      2008 e61 m sport 530 d serpentine belt

      Morning Andrew When I rebuilt the E53 4.6is engine BMW didn't have the Crank Damper or Belt tensioners and they were on long lead times. I brought Gates replacements after talking to an engine tuner in the States saved money and 80k later they have just out lasted the OEM stuff. I would check the tensioner carefully maybe worth replacing Belt and Tensioner I would have no worries about using replacements from Gates Dave

      Hi Dave, I had a problem today when I lost power steering and my battery light came on. I assumed the belt had gone but the car was still mobile. I'm looking for advice on what belt to replace it with, Gates or BMW ? cheers Paneuro.
