Flickering Comp Screen/no Indicator On Dash

When lights are on, computer screen and dash flickers. Also intermittent loss of indicators on dash although working on outside of car. Also, started other day, asked for code. Input four zeros and started again. Had water come in near mirror a couple of times too (no sunroof). Any ideas? Thanks.

Thats an easy one, dampness inside the car will hurt the electrics and their connections !

Let the car run with heating on full and windows down a touch to expel condensation...

You may find that you have to dismantle things to replug/agitate the connections... ;)

      2008 530d e61 M sport manual gearbox

      I have recently had a new clutch fitted and notice that it has stopped displaying on the dash which gear I'm in, or should I say when I should be changing up or down the gearbox. It doesn't bother me greatly but it was working prior to having the new clutch fitted. I have searched the handbook but so far I can't find any reference to this. Can anybody throw any light on this? regards Paneuro.

      Burst tyre and alloy damage

      It certainly made a bang, it was no more than 30mph and was over so quickly hard to know exactly what happened. I think the front nearside went up and straight over the kerb then I corrected steering and and the back may have hit the kerb obliquely? It was also on a busy road so I had to get car clear as carefully as I could so couldn't stop. I'm so gutted about it and just hope there are no other problems but it is being fixed by BMW dealer so they should be doing it right.

      Hi David As it was a rear wheel/tyre then it could well be a drive shaft It must have been a heck of a whack to do all that damage be like a new car when it comes back Dave

      Just heard from accident repair centre, needs a wheel, a bearing and a shaft?? Plus a tyre obviously, be two weeks before ready, thankfully have the wife's car. Is that a drive shaft? Ta
