Noticed there is oil in my coolant , took it to the garage today they have tested it for head gasket it was fine, and the mechanic said the oil cooler ? I cant see a oil cooler on the car anyone know the problem with this?

No what from I can see it's just sitting on top of the fluid

How long you had the car, Luke? As Dabsy says, maybe an old problem thats been sorted? I've only ever known one reason for oil in water, and, when the repair has been done, its virtually impossible to clear everything out of all the channels completely.

2 months , yeah I was thinking that and do you know much about the oil housing gasket I've been told could be that but thinking about taking it bmw to get tested

Grab a fistful of tissue and take the oily film out :)
