Hi all, hopefully somebody can help me on this. I have just collected my E91 320d, nice car with good spec. I have xenon adaptive lights which are doing some strange things I think. When the car starts with the lights on Auto they go through the cycle of moves but then the drivers light moves off the the right, so much that it is shining on the off side kerb! If I switch back to normal the light moves back to center.. there are no warnings on the dash and the green LED next to the light switch is not flashing, the light does still move when hte wheels are turned though.

I assume this is not correct???

Thanks in advance, Phil

Yeah, needs a reset. Not a complicated job, but make the garage do it.

I have adaptive lighting on the M. Definitely sounds like it's got a logic issue and a reset should cure the fault. Perhaps you can christen the car 'Clarence' :-)

Thanks guys, I did notice now that after having the lights on "auto" if I switch back to normal sometimes hte R/H lamp stays where is was! cant be right.

Can anybody confirm if their Adaptaive lights are in the same position on both Auto and Normal when pointing straight ahead??

Oh and Clarence will stick now......

Do you have power to the specific brake light lamp? Judging by your description there may be a wiring issue. Check that you have power if not start tracing it back. Good luck

Always a good idea to check your new bulb isn't faulty before going to the trouble of wiring checks. Put it in the other side and see if it works if you don't have a multimeter.

Check the bulb holder to make sure connection not corroded and making good contact also the plug into back lights clean them up
