Hi everyone. I wonder if anyone knows how to remove the upper centre console/lower dash section on an E92?

I just bought a 320D and now want to run a hidden power supply cable to my sat nav. which is mounted on top of the dash.

I intend soldering the wires to pick up power from the rear of the cigar lighter, as that is a switched live. Then to feed the wire up behind the dash and come out through the vent in the centre on top of the dash. I hate the long trailing wire and power plug etc. getting in the way and general looking unsightly! Any help with removing the ashtray and radio etc would be appreciated.

thanks

Arse of a job matey... Easier to run along the screen and pick up a live from fuse-box !

Or roof-mount it and steal power from the int. lamp !!
