Just checked my VIN and it says my E92 325 came with 'Provisions for BMW 6 CD Changer' - Does that mean I can just pop a Cd Changer in to the boot? Or will it still require fittings?

Hi mate, Ive just done this on my car. As they say "Its ready". Buy the changer & all the wiring is in there waiting all neatly wrapped up in a bundle with a ty rap holding it to the body(in a convertible). You will spot it easy & i installed mine in 10mins.

Hi All,

On the fibre system even though the cables and fibres are ready in the boot. You may need to activate the head unit to use the Cd Changer.

This can only be done by the dealer or diagnostic tool.

The Professional and iDrive system is only compatible not the Business as far as i'm aware.

Cheers
