Hiya everyone! Just wondering if everyone is ok coz you post something and don't get many replys are you bm owners shy? Lmao :)

Either shy or so busy earning the money to keep our cars on the road we dont have the time to spend on the boards. :D

Weather here is pretty rubbish. I was planning on going to a Classic and Super Car show today but not with it like this.

That's a shame:( I love car shows went to one last Sunday in Beaulieu real good show a Ford one ...The mustangs were amazing ♡♡♡

Hello Claire , not to shy, like the last post to busy keeping working to keep the car on the road. Nice to see another petrol head, nice R1. Sold my fireblade, to keep my last car on the road. Miss it badly

Haha was thinking it was quiet on here too compared the ST site, just traded mine in for a 330Ci and saw your name on a post.

Its great having you on here Claire, and being such an active member. To have made 61 posts in such a short time is probably a club record, lol! As Dabsy says, there are a lot of folk just come on here a couple of times, sort out an issue, and thats it. There is a "hard core" who are on here regularly, and you can tell who we are by number of posts, (I'm only just over 200 but am a relatively new "staffy"), and we are all trying to make things happen, but its a gentle progression as you can tell. We really are trying to think of some social organising that will really get something going, but its tough getting commitment out of folk, everyone is so busy these days!

I tried to get a meet going here in the Dorset/Wiltshire/Hampshire area in April and got a grand total, including me, of 6. So its not easy.

I love talking...pmsl!!!!! It's shame really coz we all got something in common(bmw) lol...iaalways make time for car shows and meets i love it :-)

      Copy Ignition Key?

      Hi Stu, sorry I missed you reply, thanks for that. Seems I have an odd problem. The key reader can't read the existing key. Even though it works fine. Nevertheless, I got a copy made and sure enough, it doesn't work! Is it possible to disable the immobiliser?

      Hi Dave, I thought you would dive into that one. I have found a reference to it in the book and it would appear its connected via the computer on the I drive but so far I have not been able to give it the kiss off life. i can follow the instructions so far and then nothing. I will keep trying and if your interested the first reference is on page 85 of my handbook . thanks Paneuro.

      ZF8HP service

      Good morning all, So, having had my car for a little over 6 months I decided to give the transmission an overdue service. Parts obtained from Autodoc for £205 for ZF service kit, a fill plug & mechatronic sleeve (Just in case) Job wasn't that bad to do. I even found the source of an intermittant rattle from un undershield. Once done I cleared the adaptions & drove up the road, instantly the shifts were noticeably smoother, not that they were too bad before, just slightly less refined. ZF recommend it to be done at 60K I believe, my car has covered 79K miles. I might do just a fluid flush at 100K miles, we'll see...

      2008 530d e61 M sport manual gearbox

      I have recently had a new clutch fitted and notice that it has stopped displaying on the dash which gear I'm in, or should I say when I should be changing up or down the gearbox. It doesn't bother me greatly but it was working prior to having the new clutch fitted. I have searched the handbook but so far I can't find any reference to this. Can anybody throw any light on this? regards Paneuro.
