Is This Normal Fuel Usage????

Hi all I filled the tank and it's now on a millimetre under 3/4 of a tank and I done a 177.9 mile trip today mostly motorway at 70mph

Is this normal fuel usage and mpg as loads of people on Facebook are disagreeing ????

It's a e39 530i sport

I would say it is a little low at 25mpg

Its a tough one, isn't it, because a big consideration is your right foot. If you were honestly (honestly :) ?) only doing 70 for the whole trip, then yes, 25 is way low. I've got a 2000 528i and on a trip from South Dorset to Gatwick and back last weekend at 70 :rolleyes: I averaged 33.6. So you might need a service and tune up perhaps. (I'm assuming where you say a millimetre under 3/4 you actually mean 1/4?)
