I have driven my Z3 2.8 auto for 3 months now. I love it to bits, but the fuel!!!! I can here the engine sucking in fuel if my foot even approaches the pedal. At the moment, I am averaging around 24-25mpg, which I cannot sustain.

I seriously thought about selling on and getting something more economical, but I hate to part with it.

I have been thinking about an LPG conversion. A quote I have had says £950 plus a tank of LPG, complete in one day, no loss of space and no loss of power!

Has anyone had any experience of a conversion, especially to a BMW, more especially to a Z3?

Are there any technical reasons for not considering this?

Any comments really appreciated.

Ralph
