Hi all my name is jason, I'm 27 years old and own a 1993 325i convertible. I have two kids and love anything with an engine. I've owned my vert for about a week now and am staring the long winded process of trying to restore her.

Body wise she is pretty straight but I'm sure the front off side wing has been replaced and a respray on rear nearside quarter as paint lacquer has flaked a little on those panels. All in all she is a tidy car and is a full m3 rep (I'd like to say m3 evo but I'm not 100% sure) I'm looking for a little bit of help with some work on her as the brake pedal is solid and not very effective lol. Reading up it seems that it's not an uncommon thing but still haven't found any air leaks on vacuum? The roof didn't work when I got it but after doing some research I managed to re-sync it and get it Working :-) and the cream leather interior is worse for wear. Drivers seat is very cracked and all other seats are faded and grubby aswell as the door cards and rear panels. Also the fog lights don't seem to be working?

Now for the questions lol, where abouts does the vacuum pipe for the brake servo come from? As I hear what seems to be hissing from under the inlet manifold but can't feel or see where it's coming from?! And also when fitting front fogs to a model without them from factory am I right in thinking the wires would be there but a fuse needs to be fitted to power them? Any help is much appreciated.

welcome to the forum - :)

check brake servo pipe as there can be a fine small crack or the servo itself. these will cause the hissing sound & brake pedal to be tight. some cases it can be the inet manifold but this would cause idling problems.

as for the fogs, if they have not been fitted before on the car you can fit them & will need the lamps, wiring, switch, fuse etc.

good luck -

Ok thanks dude. Think I'm just going to wire the fogs up to main bean and drill a side light bulb in them so they lightly glow when driving. And as for the brakes I have another servo and master cylinder with vacuum hose to fit at the weekend. Fingers crossed it works
