I have not long bought e60 525d I have noticed that if I don't use the car within 24 or even 12 hours it will take a long time to start would this be a sign that I need glow plugs or would it be a battery problem is there a way to test these things

Battery and glow pugs are easily checked by anybody with basic knowledge, but I have had a couple with the same problem as yours and it was the starter motors both times, a pain to do and not cheap!

Steve
