Hi everyone,

I am new to the bmw club. I have purchased a bmw 320d m touring limited edition on 61 plate 6 weeks ago. I am super impressed with the car, apart from the fact that it don't like the snow.

My question is, if I need to top up the oil, which oil is recommended????????

P.s also is winter tyres worth the expense?????

Many Thanks

Dale

Use decent Oil, when i change mine next in about another 1K miles ill be using Castrol Edge, will cost you about £70-80 for 2 bottles which you'll need anyways as the car takes around 6.5 litres. But you wanna make sure the oil is up to the BMW long-life 04 standard I been advised

I wouldn't bother with winter tyres, its never normally THAT cold for that long (at least down here its not anyways) . If it snows just take the train or something for 1/2 days of the year lol

Hiya mate,

Thanks for the message.

I will have to look into the long life oil, to make sure it's up to spec. It was only serviced 2k ago, but wanted to have the correct oil in the garage if I need to top up at any point.

I agree with tyres, we do have a fair bit and my lane gets pretty bad. Working from home for me :)

Thanks once again.

Dale
