Time for new tyres on my mini cooper. Definately not runflats and probably not pirellies as the current ones are useless.

Any reccomendations??

Not wishing to be the bringer of bad tidings, Geoff, but bear in mind that if run flats were standard fitment on your car in new spec., that you are supposed to replace like for like. It is certainly the expectation of the Insurance companies.

All good then Geoff! Runflats are a preposterously expensive (and completely unnessesary) gimmick. I've had 3 punctures in over 40 years of driving, and the last one, a couple of years ago, I was perfectly able to slowly drive about 500 yards to a layby, and the tyre was still perfectly repairable and reuseable. And also, many new cars now don't have a spare at all, just supply the seal and pump up temp repair kit, which both my wife and I carry one of, so run flats then are surplus anyway.

Getting off the soapbox, reference your question, I recently fitted Nexen's on my e46 328 and I've been very impressed. They aren't the cheapest, but neither are they super pricey, and grip and wear seems very good indeed so far.
