Hi all, I have stumbled across a 1983 635 csi in Spain. It has had new wings, radiator , tyres and brakes overhauled and been regularly serviced. It is a UK car, righthand drive, but has not been driven for 8 years. It does start and idles ok, but Icannot road test it. There is one tiny bit of rust on the rear wheel arch, and that appears on a quick look to be all. It has a dateless registration plate too. I have been offered it for 400 believe it or not. The owner is returning to the UK and wont take it back with him. What areas should I be looking at for problems and should I buy it? My plan is to restore it. Thanks,

Tiddy

400 Euros sounds a bargain. Even if it wasn't running it would be worth buying to restore. Depending on mileage and specification it could be worth anything from Β£4000 to Β£8000.

Obviously if it was an Alpina it would be worth a whole lot more.

Hi btmaldon, I bought it, couldn't let it pass by! It's getting picked up Friday and going to the local garage for an underneath inspection. Im going to see the result of that and decide then what to do. I agree with you, I won't lose with it!
