I bought my 2010 cabriolet last September. Since buying it the "auto stop /start" has not worked, this has not bothered me, just the bong I get when starting the car. I have checked the hand book and the error code I get on startup confirms this problem. The other day I rang my local BMW dealership and booked the car in to have the problem sorted, at the end of the booking process I was told by the lady doing the booking in that I will not have to pay for this repair ?. I did not buy the car from them so I was astonished at this statement , however not going to dispute it.
