Hi! Just joined the BMW club! I've managed to pick myself up a nice e46 which I'm loving. Just one thing I wanted to ask, my heaters don't seem to be super warm and when they do get warm it does take a while. Does anybody else have this problem or is this just how they are? I'm comparing them to my dads but then again his is a newer diesel and they melt your face off.

Any advise would he greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks mate. Yeah I've been told to give that a go so I'll try it and see if it works.

If that doesn't work you probably have a lazy thermostat. A new one should do the trick

Another potential area is the final stage resistor which apparently not only controls the fan blower but affects the heating too. I now have to change mine as the blower stopped working thus no air-con in this heat!

Try the other suggestions first though as they are easier to rule out.
