I am selling only due to change in personal circumstances. I will be very sad to see this car go which is reliable, runs smoothly and mechanically very sound.

Specifications are...

Low Mileage of 78,000 which is just over 5,000 a year.

3 owners including myself (female). I have owned it for the last 5 years.

MOT until October 2015

Last serviced January 2015, not due for another 5,000 miles.

Excellent bodywork with a few scratches only and two big bucket, leather seats.

Interior is in excellent condition with full leather, electric seats and adjustable steering column.

Comes with power steering, stability control, ABS, multiple airbags, colour coded body, cloth soft top, electric front windows, electric mirrors, BMW CD player and radio/stereo with installed Pioneer stereo (sold with both) remote alarm and central locking, height adjustable seat and good condition, factory alloys

Tyre condition good with rear tyres replaced in April 2015.

Full service history and BMW handbooks.

No time wasters or scammers. It is a genuine sale and have just had a positive experience replacing this car and would like to continue with the same vibe.

      Access to Battery terminals on BMW 1 Series 2020

      Hi, Does any one know how to access the Battery terminals on BMW 1 Series 2020, 118I. The battery is in the engine compartment and the red cap is visable, however I want to connections from the battery terminals? Many thanks.

      Rough idle problem

      Hello Dave, Just an update and I think you may be right. Went out and gave it a few revs when cold, nothing. Let it warm up and there was a loud “shoooo”. I’ve attached a photo of where the sound was coming from. Going to get it looked into but do you have any idea of what it could be? First BMW, always had vag cars so engine are a little different to what I’m used to

      Rough idle problem

      Hello Dave thanks for your reply, thanks for the reply and it does sound like that could be the problem. I was thinking injector but never pops an engine light up so wasn’t certain. Was serviced 6500 miles ago but was just oil and filters. Going to check later and see if I can see any visible cracks or splits. Got a friend who has a garage and will obd and smoke test it for me.       E53 petrol fail safe again.

      Morning Stu Long time since I played with a straight six so the old memory might be wonky here so check realoem From memory it is linked to the Air Pump and Vacuum control system. Find the Airpump and follow the Vac lines to the rear of the engine you should find a valve with a plug on top (or end) first make sure all lines are good no splits or cracks check the valve is operating, dont forget there is a non return vale in the system close to the inlet manifold.
