Hi,

Cooper Chilli Red / White roof. (May have 4 spots fitted)

I'm trying to find my old Mini that I sold in 2008. I purchased it from new in 2004 and would like the opportunity to buy it back should it arise. I last heard that it was traded to a dealer in Birmingham around 2010, so might still be in the area. I know from the DVLA site that it is still registered.

If anybody knows the owner, or it's whereabouts, perhaps they could ask the owner to contact me through the forum.

      Access to Battery terminals on BMW 1 Series 2020

      Hi, Does any one know how to access the Battery terminals on BMW 1 Series 2020, 118I. The battery is in the engine compartment and the red cap is visable, however I want to connections from the battery terminals? Many thanks.

      Rough idle problem

      Hello Dave, Just an update and I think you may be right. Went out and gave it a few revs when cold, nothing. Let it warm up and there was a loud “shoooo”. I’ve attached a photo of where the sound was coming from. Going to get it looked into but do you have any idea of what it could be? First BMW, always had vag cars so engine are a little different to what I’m used to

      Rough idle problem

      Hello Dave thanks for your reply, thanks for the reply and it does sound like that could be the problem. I was thinking injector but never pops an engine light up so wasn’t certain. Was serviced 6500 miles ago but was just oil and filters. Going to check later and see if I can see any visible cracks or splits. Got a friend who has a garage and will obd and smoke test it for me.       E53 petrol fail safe again.

      Morning Stu Long time since I played with a straight six so the old memory might be wonky here so check realoem From memory it is linked to the Air Pump and Vacuum control system. Find the Airpump and follow the Vac lines to the rear of the engine you should find a valve with a plug on top (or end) first make sure all lines are good no splits or cracks check the valve is operating, dont forget there is a non return vale in the system close to the inlet manifold.
