Hi ALL and joined this forum as I am looking to return to the fold of becoming a BMW owner once more! My last BMW was a 318i in 2003 and since then had to get more 'family orientated' vehicles once the kids arrived. The cars I have owned just did not give me the pleasure I got from driving my BMW and currently have an Audi A3 Sportback. I just returned from the BMW Dealer in Bromley where I test drove an approved 320 M Sport petrol and LOVED IT!!!! I have arrange for a test drive of the 320 M Sport Diesel tomorrow as I would like to compare the two vehicles head to head. Having been away from BMW for so long I would love to hear members' experiences with the above cars good and bad as BMW has evolved since last owning one...

I have been watching the many video reviews of the 320 M Sport and I am a little blinded by science for want of a better example.

I am now divorced and the children are all grown up so am looking for a decent sized car that I can also cenjoy driving for the sheer fun! My getting into the 320 M Sport petrol today was literally like getting behind the wheel of 'the ultimate driving machine!' I really enjoyed the drive and the comfort of the vehicle but can only vaguely remember how my 318i handled and to be honest the twin turbo gave some 'oomph' when I put the pedal to the metal!!!

I apologise in advance if I have reminisced too much but thought a little about myself might help you understand where I am returning to the fold from...lol

ATB!

Hi David, welcome to the club and back to BMW

Out of interest, was your last one an E36 or E46?

You're right in saying the new cars have come a long way. I'm still in an E46 but it's mint and I love it, especially the sweet six cylinder engine.

Have you considered a larger engine to enhance your driving "enjoyment"?
