      28 thermal sensor for oil level defect

      Hello all. I have a failure code 28 on my 735 1996 E38 and I am not sure what to replace. The car does not have a thermal sensor on the oil filter like the newer models have, there is no fault on the dash, no low level warrning, and the engine runs without any issues. Does enyone know what the code 28 is related to on the 12/1997 E38? Many thanks

      My new E64 650i

      Hi all, I’ve recently purchased this lovely 650i. It’s a 2010 car finished in Aruzite black with full platinum merino and black nappa leather. 48k miles and still under extended BMW warranty. Coolant changes no more than 2 years and oil changes most years. 100% standard other than a Quaife ATB LSD and a Mr12Volt CarPlay & Android Auto unit with reverse camera. The previous owner also retrofitted soft-close doors and Individual Audio at great expense using all genuine parts. Lastly, the previous owner spent >£7k on full PPF and ceramic coating for the interior and exterior including wheels! Could this be the best non-M E64 in the UK? I’m sure others with E64’s won’t agree 😂 Either way, I’m very happy with it, what do you think?
