Hi

I'm new to group so hope you all bear with me

I'm going to fit running lights to my x3 using a relay that I have had before and found very good . The problem I have is that the relay connects straight to be battery, that's ok for the positive as supply can be found under bonnet but I need a negative too , that's where I'm stuck😥

Hi Richard...welcome to the Forum!

I'm not sure but if you run a multimeter around the car, I'm sure there must be something local to where you want to locate the lamps.

Let us know how you get on with it

On the X5 all negative/Earth connections are Brown. I would run a single fused live to each running light and pick up a local earth connection to save running tow cables. When i did my angel eyes as running lights I used the headlamp earth wire to tap into.

Hope that helps
