Hi all, just recently bought my x5 m sport 2009 and I am getting an intermittent transmission fault warning after starting up. Does not seem to be a problem driving,  any advice appreciated. Thanks

Hi Tony...welcome to the Forum

It would be worth running a scan to establish the cause in case it is causing damage to the transmission.

May only be something simple like a temperature sensor or low on fluid.

Let us know how you get on with it

Cheers Trevor,  will have it looked at and will let you know.  It is under warranty for 3 months,  so need to contact dealer ( who is the other side of the country ). Cheers.
