Hi. I have just joined. I am looking at buying a 520d around 2007. Is there any tips on what to look out for.

Cheers,  Jay

Hi Jay....welcome to the Forum

It's obviously worth looking for one that has full service history, preferably dealer history but independent specialist repairer is just as good.

Look at whether the swirl flaps in the inlet manifold have been removed and plugged up so they don't drop into the engine

Otherwise, they are a pretty good car, but worth trawling the posts on here to see what other issues arise.

Keep us updated on you potential purchase.

Cheers   Trevor
