Hey,

Another newbie has arrived :) Hi guys just want come and say hi as I'm going to be back in a BMW. The car is a 1 series 120d on a 56 plate. It's been the Mrs car for the last 4 years. its done 99,000 miles and runs point on. Car is completely stock, with full service history apart from being super messy (typical for my Mrs car's). My previous cars have been a bit of a mix, RenualtSport 172, RenaultSport 225, BMW Z4 3.0, Saab Aero 2.8T and now the 1 series 120d.

Plans for the 1series will be first to give it a GOOD clean. Anyone with kids will know what I mean. Tint the rear windows, and many remap the car. I'll try and get some pictures up asap.

Hi Jimmy .... welcome to the Forum

Good to hear that you are back in a Beemer although the previous cars you have owned are all very cool.

      Can a VIN decoder really help me check a car’s history?

      Hi David Welcome to the Forum A Vin decoder is a useful tool as it lets you know what was on the original cars build sheet but that only tells you what toys it should have. As its a 2021 car it will have had one MOT which hopefully is clear of any advisories, you can check recall and MOT at www.gov.uk/check-mot-history Next check all tyres are correct and in good condition odd or mismatched tyres can cause havoc with Transfer cases Transmissions and diffs. The rest is History History History plus making sure everything works as it should Good Luck Dave

      Connectors in the boot next to the battery

      From Memory you have a Fuse box under the Bonnet, the main one behind the Glove box and one in the boot You should find a fuse layout folded in one of the boxes Fingers crossed it's a simple fix (Fuel Pump Relay) Good Hunting Dave

      Can a VIN decoder really help me check a car’s history?

      Hey everyone, I’m thinking about buying a 2021 BMW X3 and want to make sure I’m covering all my bases before making a decision. I’ve heard about VIN decoders and how they can give you details about a car, but I’m not sure what kind of info they actually provide. Do they show anything useful, like accident history or open recalls? Or are they just for basic specs? If you’ve used one that worked well, I’d love to hear about it and any tips for getting the most out of it. Thanks so much!

      Hi, Yes The air bag light is on. I have not heard of an emulator? It must be a device to turn the light off? The person that owned this before me was an older lady but maybe she had a mechanic do something to this? Thanks for your help, JayMe
