Goodaye guys,

I'm unfortunately not loaded with cash hence why I recently(2 weeks ago) purchased a second hand 2002 BMW 318i, I would prefer a new one but simply don't have the money.

Since purchasing the vehicle I have come to realize there was a fair few things I needed to fix:

1) Passenger side window wouldn't align correctly when going down and up leaving a gap.

2) Air con fan doesn't work.

3) Central locking doesn't work.

4) Fuel cap locking regulator wasn't working.

5) Water issues.

6) Oil filter service.

7) Not sure if these cars have one, but if they do, the alarm is not working.

I have been slowly fixing the issues with the car:

1) Passenger side window: FIXED, I just needed to adjust its mounting screws.

4) Fuel cap locking regulator: FIXED, I simply manually forced the regulator shut and open and now it works, must have just been the dust?

5) Water issues: FIXED, the radiator only had water in it when I purchased it(was holding water but only water) Yeah flushed the radiator with water, drained it at screw underneath radiator, refilled it with coolant, bleed the tank with the screw on top of radiator line, all good now.

6) Car's due for a oil service: ALMOST FIXED, the oil is nearing black its now 5230 km's since it was last done, I have a new filter kit coming this week so all good. The current filter is showing signs of oil lightly leaking from its seal as well so I purchased a rubber seal kit too to make sure the O rings are also replaced.

2) Air con doesn't work: Not sure why this doesn't work. The Car has cold air when i turn the Air con on, but the car doesn't blow any air it just very lightly releases air from the vents with no blowing noises, mostly noticeable if doing 100km/h+, with a window slightly down it creates better air flow for the A/C, I tried to fix it following this guide:

And I have also posted my issues on that guide with the A/C. Unfortunately, I have had no luck in finding the problem yet? I'm thinking it may be that due to the  stepper motors actuator not being slotted into where it should be, its preventing the control or opening and closing of the A/C? Fingers crossed that's the issue as it seems very hard to find another Blower Motor even a second hand one seems slightly rarer than what I prefer. The stepper motor does work(it does activate the actuator when i change settings so i know it at least works but i need to reconnect it properly for it to change/open and close doors etc) but that can't be the only issue as i would think the fan would still blow in cold air even if that actuator wasn't there as there's still other vents.

3) Central locking doesn't work: This is a tricky irritating one, the central locking didn't work when I purchased it, the owner told me I just needed a new battery in the key FOB, my research tells me these key FOBS don't require battery to be changed as they are charged through the magnetic power in the ignition, I can confirm the key FOB has power as it can lock/unlock/open boot of the car, I played with fuses under the glove box for a day when it wasn't originally working and though none were blown, it wasn't working, i was told via a google search that if the actuator for the fuel lid isn't working then its a sign I need a new regulator, funny thing is after manually opening and closing the regulator with my hand it now locks and unlocks with the car, and for a few days the central locking worked on and off, and during this time i also tried to do the steps to make sure the key was synced with the car and it didn't actually confirm it was in sync with the car but it still was working with central locking. Now the central locking is not working at all again, but the actuator for the fuel cap still works fine. I'm not sure if its the key FOB(s), fuses again? or a actuator on its way out or a sequence of all of these things :/.

7) Car alarm doesn't work, Not 100% sure if this car has one, I assume it does due to the writing indications on the windows suggesting its fitted with alarms?. Does the alarm system connect through the car's CD player? I'm thinking about changing the original stereo to a custom one with Bluetooth instead but would this effect the car?

IF anyone has any other ideas on how to check/fix my issues please let me know I really appreciate all of your help.

Well, I purchased a new blower motor i havent installed it yet as im waiting for it to come back from the mechanics, it wouldnt start all fo a sudden when i turned the key. I had the camshaft chain come loose and the camshaft sensor replaced and the fuel pump, now it starts and runs but its not quite running right yet so theres a part which attaches to the camshaft which was on back order for a while finally hopefully on its way here soon to be installed in the next 2 weeks....

I'm fairly sure the AC issue the blower motor, once I replace that I will then try and re-attach the little stepper motor as well... I'm going to change the blower motor from the engine bay, i saw a video of a "american mechanic" doing it from the interior side and he had to push the whole flipping dash out seems like a lot of work to change that part im thinking through the engine bay must be the easier way to go? I will post back once I have changed the old blower motor.
