Hi Guys,

Just upgraded to a 2018 330i M Sports. Can anyone tell me if the BMW mud flaps for the 3 series Sport  model fit the M model? Parts department say they don't but other people say they do?   Thanks for responding.

Hi Rob

Welcome to the Forum

Have a look at www.realoem.com it is an online BMW parts list put the last 7 digits of your Vin Number in the search box and it will bring up your model. If they are available you will find the part numbers there.

Though if your car has the Mtec body kit it may be more difficult to find you could check other models to see, Coupe, Convertible, Touring just in case. Or there may be some after market parts though how well they fit would be a worry for me.

Hi Dave

Thanks for the reply. Obviously more research needed. Just got the car yesterday so no rush.  Off to the NE tomorrow for a few days so it will have to wait. Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the online parts list. Very useful to know.

Just to update people on this item. Although BMW say mudflaps are not suitable for 330I M Sports I can now tell you that they fit perfectly. Took a chance and purchased the 3 series BMW mudflaps. (Front 82 16 2 218 983)  (Rear 82 16 2 218 984)   Fitting was straightforward. Installation Instructions are on the internet (Mud Flaps Retrofit Kit BMW 3 Series (F30,F31). Front is easiest as you can put steering on full lock to get at your job. Rear is a bit harder because of restricted space between wheel and wing. Some say you need to remove the rear wheels. I managed it without  removing the wheels using 8mm socket, short bar and racket. A little fiddly but possible with patience.  Black mudflaps on a black car look fine although my reason for adding them is to do with preventing the mud, horse and cow muck from the car sides as I often travel on some roads used by farm vehicles and animals.  Both sets cost £80  when purchsed via the internet.   Rob,

Well done good information for other 3 series owners, I know very well about horse/cow/sheep muck sometimes when it's dry it feels like you need a chisel to get it off
