Greydog Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 Morning Mark Welcome to the Forum Come on tell us your issue, it can't be that embarrassing Dave Quote
Bmwe60scotty Posted November 14, 2019 Author Posted November 14, 2019 Hi Dave Thanks for that I'm having troubles with MAF sensor unplugged car runs fine but plug it in not so good. Tried new one and same issues. Mark Quote
Greydog Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Morning Mark Have you had the codes read? You really need a BMW specific code reader it really does make a difference. Have you carried out any other work? If so I would back track carefully to make sure that everything is plugged in and secure, if everything is OK then get the codes read it could be several things from pressure sensor in the fuel rail to throttle body investigating the engine codes will be more specific. You say you have swapped the MAF was it new or second hand? Was it the correct part for your car, are the part numbers the same? Dave Quote
Bmwe60scotty Posted November 15, 2019 Author Posted November 15, 2019 Hi greydog Thanks for that Ive kind of checked everything by the vacuum pipe but yes MAF sensor was brand new but not Bosch so maybe aftermarket dodgy parts. Mark Quote
Greydog Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Hi Mark First make sure the part number is correct if you brought from a Factor they should change it if it's wrong. Good luck Dave Quote
Bmwe60scotty Posted November 15, 2019 Author Posted November 15, 2019 Yes Dave all the same just need to borrow a working one then I will 100% know if it is the MAF sensor. Quote
