Hi,

My car broke down yesterday and just wouldn't start or even attempt to. The AA had a look and his computer came up with this fault as the only fault logged on the car ( Communication between engine control unit and immobilizer hardware faulty) He disconnected the battery and then tried starting with no luck then he used his booster pack and the car happened to start. He said it won't fix the car and it needs to be investigated, I drove the car home and as soon as I got home turned the car off and tried starting again with no luck completely dead again. Is this a known issue?

Hi Mark Welcome to the Forum

Have you tried pairing the key to the car again just in case they have "fallen out" and aren't talking to each other, the issue you have is a new one on me

Good Luck

Dave
