Want to download Android Apps to my BMW 3 series car radio

The BMW 3 series 2008 is not compatible with Android system nor does it support to connect to an Android mobile phone. This sucks. It seems the only way is to upgrade it to an aftermarket Android radio, right? Anyone has any good suggestions?
My main requirements are to download Android apps such as Spotify, Amazon Prime video, Google Maps and so on.

I have read somewhere that for the I drive units you can add a unit by Nav Tool that allows either Android phone mirroring or Apple car play to be used/controlled by the in car I drive controller. From what I read it is all plug and play

Hi, Vesco, all you need to do is choose the right Android auto head unit for you to upgrade your car. Nowdays, we have many options for a auto head unit. Ultimately, it is a great choice.  The price is a bit higher compared to some otehr Chinese brands, but i decided to get XTRONS as the brand is worth paying extra for.

Hi Brendan

I don't think the aftermarket head units work with I drive so you loose those functions including some of the OBC functions. Or am I wrong?
