Drivers Door Handle

Does anyone know how to remove the drivers door handle. As my drivers door wont open from outside so I am of the opinion that the cable on the handle has come off or broken. I can see the cable attached to the door lock but not moving when handle is pulled

Have a look at www.newtis.info it is a BMW Technical information site that Dealers and others use you should find some help there. Also try www.realoem.com put the last 7 digits of your Vin in the search box it will bring up your model then look at the door mechanism, the site has small explode drawings which should help with what goes where.
