Morning Not necessarily I recently had an injector fault that randomly shut the engine down no codes no EML The only way to find it was to actually run live data on the Diagnostic (INPA/ISTA) and drive the car when the fault occured I was able to record it. That was the only way to identify it Make sure you check for any air and vacuum leaks a small crack/split in a vacuum hose The inlet has several hoses that rely on "O" ring seals are they all good Dave -

Loss of power after service
Hi all, I have a stage 1 mapped 2010 330d touring which last Thursday went to my local garage for oil and filter with a look to also see if they could switch of the non retracting headlamp washers(unsuccessful)…I get it back and all seems well until I go for a drive, I’ve lost all torque, acceleration and rather than staying in gear and pulling away it’s dropping down gears to pull off. The garage plugged in a new snap on machine to have a look but said they couldn’t get in due to not having bmw software, they’ve had it back to see if anything is obvious but they don’t have a clue, couldn’t spot any vacuum leaks etc and no fault codes coming up short of the ones that indicate the swirl flaps/egr have been done away with. Other than getting it in too have the map checked to see if it’s still there I’m lost. It just feels exactly like it did before I got it mapped. -

Engine light on again. Injector problem?
Hi all. 2002 x5 e53 3.0 petrol. eml light came on and the wife says the car feels slower. when the car is idling, it seems to have a very slight misfire. i put the small diagnostic reader on it and it came up with lean mix due to low fuel. I’ll rig the car up to the 1.4.0. Would it tell me which injector is playing up or is it best just to replace all 6? is it a straightforward job or a pain… simply because i have just had my gall bladder out! im supposed to rest up, but i have jobs that can be done for the next two weeks! 😂😂😂 -

It's quite a new one not checked engine mounts will do later when I get home this weekend and have a look at wiring but if fault with wiring it would have thrown on emg light -

Hi OK 101k is no great mileage so I would start by checking for any Air or Vacuum leaks on the inlet side initially. I would also check carefully the injector loom for any damge or cracking to the insulation. Go on line and get the test procedure for Injector loom and Injectors (test for resistance) Have the engine mounts been checked ? Snapon is normally OK but it depends on the model some older ones revert to Generic codes Dave
