Bmw e36 convertible roof disengage half way thourgh

Hi I hav a Bmw e36 convertible which recently IV had issues we the roof..it starts 2 to go up n then halfway thourgh the motor disengages it self..and stops..plz can sum1 help me..

    Not a Convertible owner but here goes

    1. Is there a reset procedure ? There normally is for sun roofs so it's logical there should be one for the roof.

    2. Have you checked fluid levels as I believe they are hydraulic?

    3. Are all the sensors clear ?

    Can you get the codes read that will tell you and us a lot.

    On the bright side the sun is shining

    Thank you for reply..iv reset and resync the roof..but it's made no difference..but IV not done the flued..where can I find this please..top it up no codes coming up when this happens..

    Check 2 websites 

    1. www.realoem.com this is a BMW parts website but it has some great exploded drawings that should help with location. Put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box and it will bring up your model.

    2. www.newtis.info This is a BMW technical information site BMW Dealers use the same information for service and repair.

    Sorry best help I can give as I am not a Vert owner.
