I purchased this X5 knowing it needed work and during the “shutdown” it kept me busy and almost out of trouble! I was a Mechanic/MOT Tester for many, many years and still enjoy “tinkering”

Back to the car, since I bought it I have.......

Replaced the troublesome rear Air Suspension with Coil Springs that I imported from the USA , now a nicer ride and no worries of Air Leaks.

Replaced various Suspension Arms, drives with no bangs or clonks!

Had 4 Wheel Laser alignment carried out so all good

CV Boot replaced.

DISA Valve replaced due to a Air Leak diagnosed with my smoke machine,

Engine now running great.

LPG checked over and is running fine, LPG Fuel Gauge is not too accurate but I don’t think many are, I use the mileometer.

A Full Service with genuine BMW Oil Filter. Spark Plugs, Air and Cabin Filters also changed and good quality Engine Oil.

Various interior parts replaced that were showing signs of wear. MOT until November.

Purchased a Spare Wheel as I hate having to rely on an aerosol for a flat tyre!

She now looks, drives and performs 100%, it’s extremely comfortable and economical!

Downside... there is a scratch on the Rear Door, hardly noticeable, bit of wear on Drivers Seat, hardly surprising with the mileage, 171000. I think that’s it.

So there it is, a cracking car that has the bullet proof straight 6 Engine, pulls like a train and has a smooth gear change. Economical with the LPG  and it’s so comfortable.
Price......difficult as was going to keep it a while due to the LPG but £2750 o.n.o. Seems Fair?

I’m near High Wycombe, retired so viewing available almost anytime. Could deliver for Fuel and Train Fare home if it helps.

Forgot to mention, reason for selling is that I’ve seen an old Bentley that I fancy......love small economical cars!

Well done Martin

That looks very good for the price you are asking.

Not my cup of tea but I'm sure it won't stay unsold for long.

Cheers

John
