Has anyone come across this small latch braking before? Mine has come off and fallen into the gap behind it and I cannot find a replacement anywhere or even find out what it is called. any help would be very appreciated 👍20200721_105219.thumb.jpg.dcba44de915efd930e6f29c008b0f440.jpg

Welcome to the Forum

Take a look at www.realoem.com it is a BMW online parts list if there is a replacement part that is where you will find the part number. Just put the last 7 digits of your Vin number into the search box it will bring up your model.

If there is a part take a look at www.newtis.info This site is a BMW technical information site BMW Dealers and Technicians use this for repair and replacement information.

Appreciate the reply! Had a look and cannot find the part anywhere, cannot find it on the BMW website either! Any ideas?

Sadly if it's not in the parts list then it seems they expect you to buy a complete new storage box !!! I would search Ebay and contact the specialist BMW breakers 

Just had a quick look at realoem and found this part number for the catch is 

02 Centre arm rest lock   1     51169232069
