Hi,

Just got my first BMW last December and loving it!

But first service time for me has arrived. Does anyone have any experience of either dealership and which would you recommend?

Hi Trevor

Depending on the age of the car, go for an Independent BMW Specialist rather than a Main Dealer. Their labour rates are usually much lower.

Thanks alot for that. I was wondering about independents so that's very handy cheers.

The car is 2015 and after speaking to BMW Nottingham it appears that it had a major service June 2019. It only needs brake fluid change at £72 which surprised me as I thought that they would charge alot more than that. There is also a BMW recall outstanding to do with the exhaust reticulation..... whatever that is! So on this first service (for me as owner) I'll go with the main dealer. I just wonder what else they will find that "needs" attention 🤔 😉

Despite the bad press and the efforts of some Dealers most are OK 

If you have a good one your on to a winner, don't dismiss the BMW Specialists their stamp in the service book is just as valid and with bigger services and labour rates of less than half the Dealerships they are competitive to say the least.
