Non Live Fuse after key removed

I Have a 2005 740 Li but apparently none of the fuses close down when parked or key removed and stay live so can't install dash cams as will drain battery, does anyone know of a relay I can buy that can be fitted to power source.

Hi Steve

After key removal BMW's take around 15 mins to shut down, it tests and shuts down systems there is an indicator light beside the Gearshift when its out your car is asleep.

On my X5 my dash cam is wired to the interior light power above the interior mirror been there 4 years now and no flat battery

      Hi Derek Check history very carefully some of the earlier 2.0d suffered timing chain issues and I believe BMW recommended timing chain replacement but cant recall the mileage (old Blokes brain fade) but if it's 100k then it could be costly as I believe it's engine out. Google may help more The 5 series are great cars by the way Dave

      Tyres for front of my 240i

      So after my repair, I think it's time to replace my 30k 6 year old Michelin Pilot Sports on front. The modern equivalent seems to be 225/40 ZR18 92Y Michelin Pilot Sport 4 but presumably run flats? I've been struggling to find this tyre online just to get an idea of prices, anyone recommend a supplier or an equivalent make perhaps? Thanks Dave

      Just thought I'd jump on this thread and ask how you've found the car so far as I'm looking at a 520d m sport 2018 but has 95k mile on it so just fishing around see what folks reviews of theirs or thoughts on that is

      520d advice

      I'm currently in the market for a new car but I'm so undecided as to what i want , I'm currently in a 2018 bclass amg line that's fine but I've go that itch that won't go away, I've looked at a 520d sport 2018 but it's got 94k miles on it which doesn't really scare me but just wanting real world advice from anyone that's got one, all it's services are there last one done at 88k , my merc has 100k on now and still goes like a dream I've had a 1 series before so not my fist bmw , anyhow thanks in advance
