Hi Members, I have a 2011 320i Petrol, the cooling fan has stopped working and car Is getting too hot with large yellow engine light coming on but with the air con on It works, any Ideas please

Welcome to the Forum

First is your car E90/1/2/3 or F30 ? 2011 was a change over year. My first thought would be either the temperature sensor or the thermostat. 

Your fan will receive signal from two sources the air con system and the cars engine cooling system a diagnostic check would identify the part 

Driving the car when it is overheating can cause damage which is much more expensive to fix.
