7 series not starting

I have a 730 2008 automatic. 

Car won't start battery seems fine.

Press button to start and nothing all dash lights come on as normal.  

Something about pre heat comes on. At a loss with it can anybody help

Morning Craig

Pre-heat are the glow plugs and or the glow plug relay. If the mornings are cold that may be the issue but you need a Diagnostic scan to be sure. Have you tried starting in N not P just in case it is the inhibitor switch.

Hi greydog it won't move to N, it stays in park .

Then I would say your issue is with the Gear selector and inhibitor switch
