Hi all

I'm new and have a M135i on order. Really looking forward to it. I have been researching about fuel to put in it normal or premium. I generally avoid supermarket fuel anyway. But does anyone recommend either normal or premium and their experiences, I would be interested.

Thanks in advance

Morning Christof

Lucky boy enjoy it when you get it.

There has always been and always will be debates on fuel and these days I guess people will fill up at the cheapest station particularly in todays climate plus now we have E10 fuels as well..

My 4.6is has covered 160k at 92k I rebuilt the engine due to the plastic chain guides failing. The car has always been run on regular with a tank of premium every 5th fill up, there is a fair mix of Supermarket brands in there as well. When I stripped the engine the OEM honing marks were still clearly visible in the bores and there was very little carbon build up, which is a testament to the quality of modern fuel and oils. At the rebuild I upgraded the cam and throttle body with Dinan items from the States and a remap to gain the best use of them.

Now at 160k a month ago I had the old girl on a rolling road she showed 363hp at the wheels, average mpg has always been between 18 and 19mpg. I am old but I don't drive like Miss Daisies chauffeur winter the car gets plenty of mild off road use and tows a horse trailer most summer weekends

A bit of a long winded way of saying give it the best you can I think oil changes at a minimum once a year are more important

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS ENJOY YOUR BEEMER
