Hello I’m new to this site bought my first bmw car 5 series 520 xdrive…. Just want some ideas of some really good car mats been looking all day carnt really find any don’t want cheap ones

Welcome to the Forum

You could check www.realoem.com it is a BMW online parts list (same as Dealers use) put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box and it will bring up your model, the just search the relevant sections to see if there are BMW over mats available when you have the part number get your dealer to order them.

Or as I did for my X5 a local Carpet Fitter produced a set of really good fitted over mats all edge taped and sewn with anti slip pads and my initials sewn in in contrasting thread, my BMW Dealer asked where they came from he was so impressed.

      Drivers side wiper not flush

      Hey, Just seeing whether there is a common problem or if someone has an easy fix? My drivers windscreen wiper doesn't sit flush to the screen when moving, leaving patches on the glass. I have replaced the wiper blade, and had a go at bending the arm, but the problem still remains. Any hints or tips would be great appreciated.

      Is there Any way of making the useless heads lights better apart from fitting high output bulbs ?

      It's now 4 years down the line and the engine was rebuilt by a local BMW wise kid. Has been running fine now that the Cats been muted and the ECU told that the cat ran off , runs better with more mpg and now on 109K miles.

      Air bag fault

      Good morning Dave Thank you for your response. I did have some work done but none was in the steering wheel or instrument cluster. I do have an airbag code 09 "Side airbag, front right" on that I have not managed to clear out yet. I did clear the fault codes 2-3 times which it did remove most of the fault codes apart from 3, 09 Side air bag, front right 28 thermal sensor for oillevel defect - BTW my vehicle does not have a oil thermal sensor 94 LED for anti-theft alarm system open circuit - BTW the red light that is on the top of the dash has never been ON.
