Central locking

I have to replace both left side doors on my 2013 1 series 116D ed 

do I have to change over all the locking mechanisms from one set of doors to the other for my central locking to work or is it just an electrical signal from my car to the new doors so they should work fine 

any help is truly welcome and appreciated

I have changed a few door actuators and not had any issues so you should be OK. If not you will still have the originals a fiddly job not a difficult one

everything in the new doors works fine. What I was asking was once contacted to my car will the central locking work on the new doors 

hope this makes sense. Sounded a lot better in my head

Nothing wrong with checking the head 

As long as they are the same model range you should be fine. I take it you have got them to match your original body colour and close as possible in year.

Yes same year model and colour.
