have a problem with my 320i 2009. The orange engine warning light is flashing and the car vibrates. The vibration is worse when the air con is switched on. Can any body help?

Hi Richard

Welcome to the Forum

As you have a CHECK ENGINE light flashing you have a problem that needs attention NOW if you are not capable of diagnosing it yourself you need a Garage or Mechanic

The vibration could be a misfire, or a loose pulley or tensioner turning on the AC increases the load on the engine so will not help.

Check the timing pulley. My e36 had this issue where the pulley had perished and moved forward and back, stopping the sensor from detecting the timing, causing a misfire.   Also worth checking the aircon pump bearings.
