Hi Dave, I will get the alignment checked at the tyre shop that supplied the new rear tyres. He has all the Hunter alignment ramp and tools and he said he would check it FOC for me. Can you tell me what IOS program I need to get as I would like to instruct my son in law to put it on a spare laptop he has . thanks Paneuro -

Hi greydog, Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the delay i didn't get a notification. It certainly is a tough one. Really difficult to know where to go with it as I've exhausted my relatively limited knowledge/skills. I don't want to just throw money at it as I don't have it and was hoping that someone had experienced the issue before and may have had some advice. With what you have mentioned any idea if getting it into a garage would cost alot or not? I did have it in a garage at the cost of £100 last week and they didn't really provide anything helpful and had no idea about the code. The scanner I use is a Topdon topscan if you have heard of it? Alternatively can you recommend a bmw one that wouldn't break the bank? Thanks Alex -
