Hi all, newbie here so apologies if this has been asked before but I'm looking to purchase an 80/90's 635CSi and wondered what I need to look out for??I've seen one but it has metric tyres which I believe are like hens teeth and cost c.£500 apiece... ouch.. would it be more cost effective to source new/used wheels? Any advice would be most welcome guys, thanks 😁👍

Morning Andy

Welcome to the Forum

Apart from rust which is the killer of most Classic cars and expensive to repair properly so check very carefully

The Michelin TRX Wheel and tyre sets can be swapped for 16" or 18" which would give a much wider range of reasonably priced tyres. From what I have read you need to keep to an offset around ET20 and Tyre width of 235 to fit under the wheel arches

If you can find OEM alloys they won't be cheap but you should find Replica Alpina style alloys

Good Hunting
